A women-only hostel in central Barcelona with a strong staff reputation and a calm, non-party atmosphere.
About
Buba House is a women-only hostel on Carrer d'Aragó, close to Passeig de Gràcia. The property occupies the principal floor of a classic Eixample building and offers shared dormitories rather than private rooms.
The hostel runs with a small, hands-on team – several reviews single out staff by name. Facilities are basic but functional: a shared kitchen with cookware, vending machines for snacks and drinks, luggage storage, and locker space in the dorms.

7.9Verified guest“Stayed a few nights and really enjoyed it. Staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help. The hostel was quiet at night, which was a refreshing change from typical party hostels. Dorms were spacious with plenty of room for luggage. Beds were comfortable and each had a locker. Location was perfect, right in the city centre with easy access to sights, plus nearby food markets, bars, and cafes. Breakfast was tasty and there was even a washing machine available. Tom, the host, was especially helpful and gave great advice. Highly recommend.”
7.9Verified guest“Great room design, especially the wall decor – it makes you feel like you're in a country of great artists. And the curtains – my particular gratitude and admiration to the owners. Amazingly friendly staff. Rooms and bathrooms are perfectly clean, but don't forget to bring your own soap. Location is very nice too. We were allowed to use the kitchen for free, so you can cook a real tasty dinner.”
7.9Verified guest“Very good hostel staff, clean, warm, and cheap. Near lots of cafes and restaurants. Tea, coffee, water, and Wi-Fi are free anytime. Not far from the sights.”
7.9Verified guest“Excellent stay. Location was perfect, with supermarkets, bars, and attractions within walking distance. Staff were incredibly nice and always ready to help with directions and tourist advice. Rooms were clean and comfortable, shared bathroom was well-maintained. Breakfast was delicious and well-stocked. The highlight was the peaceful atmosphere at night – it's not a party hostel. Highly recommend for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.”
7.9Verified guest“Fantastic week in Barcelona. Location was perfect, just a few minutes from Passeig de Gràcia and within walking distance of many attractions. The hostel had a well-equipped kitchen and the breakfast was great for budget travellers. Staff, especially Carlos, were helpful and kind. The room was very comfy and tidy. Bathrooms were always clean and Wi-Fi had a good connection. Highly recommend for a budget-friendly and convenient stay.”
7.9Verified guest“Friendly staff, always ready to help. There weren't many guests during my one-day stay, so they gave me a double room to myself for the same price.”
